ATLANTA – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) announced the semifinalists for the 2006 Top 10 Innovative Technology Companies in Georgia to be introduced during the Georgia Technology Summit on February 7th.
The semifinalists include: AirDefense, BioFiscia, ChoicePoint, CipherTrust, DSI-Digital, IVivity, Jacket Micro, JBoss, M1 Global, Manhattan Associates, nuBridges, Oversight, PlayMotion, Premiere, Scentric, @International Services, Version One and Wireless Extenders.
The second annual Top 40 competition recognizes the 40 most innovative technology companies in Georgia. Companies selected to be in the Top 40 will participate in a showcase at the technology summit. The Top 10 innovative companies will be chosen from the semifinalists and will make presentations during the Summit.
“This year’s Top 40 candidates are outstanding examples of the breadth of exciting technologies that are being developed and commercialized in Georgia,” said Tino Mantella, president of TAG. “We are very pleased that the Top 40 program has been such an incredible success in its first two years.”
The Top 40 Innovators are chosen based on a number of criteria, including: degree of innovation; scope and financial impact of innovation; likelihood of success; and promotion of Georgia’s innovative efforts nationally and internationally.
