ATLANTA – Vitrue Inc., a social media marketing company, has acquired New York- based social media marketer UGENmedia.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The partnership enhances Vitrue’s capabilities to offer turnkey social media solutions and provides the combined company a strategic New York presence.

Founded in 2006 by former DoubleClick executives, UGENmedia UGENmedia works with leading brands and advertising agencies to create engaging user experiences.
According to a 2008 Nielsen study, 78 percent of consumers trust the opinion of peers over all other information sources and advertising.
Vitrue and UGENmedia provide a global platform that connects social media sites with brands and agencies to tap into the power of crowds to create authentic content and measurable experiences.
Vitrue, founded in 2006 with more than $15 million of funding from firms including General Catalyst Partners, Dace Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital and Turner Broadcasting, will retain its headquarters in Atlanta and UGENmedia’s operations in New York.
