If asked which Internet browser would be most loved among social media users, would you guess Google Chrome?
Google Chrome is the most loved Internet Browser, according to Amplicate, an online-opinion collating resource that accounts for more than 71 million public opinions of social media users.
With a positive rating of 72 percent as expressed on Twitter, Facebook and Amplicate, over 6 thousand opinions were made about the browser over the past 3 months.
It surprised us that Mozilla’s Firefox came in at only 46.9 percent, topping only low-rated Internet Explorer. We have used Firefox as our primary browser and Google Chrome as our secondary one for quite a while. Firefox does have some problems, such as not infrequently forcing a restart because it is still running but won’t open for use. It has also acquired some IE-like bloat.
Google Chrome is fast, but its interface takes a bit of getting used to.
Also among others scoring highly in the most favored list were Opera, Apple Safari and Flock Browser, all rating above 71 percent in positive opinion.
On the other hand, Internet Explorer ranked the lowest in the category, scoring only a 9 percent love rating. This figure makes Internet Explorer one of the most hated of Amplicate’s 241 thousand topics.
Amplicate ranks the most discussed Internet Browsers to show how the Top 10 amplicate.com/software/281-top-most-popular-internet-browsers/ compare against each other in terms of public love, reach and absolute opinion. The service also publishes rankings and real opinions for over 241 thousand topics. –Allan Maurer

I’m not surprised. I like Firefox but it has been getting worse. Takes longer to start up, uses more resources (both CPU and memory), crashes more often, and the plugin-container seems buggy.
I agree that the interface (or lack of one since it is so spare) can take getting used to in Chrome but at the end of the day what I want most out of a browser, like an operating system, is fast performance using low resources.
